In giving grief its own space, it helps us to understand it, become conversant with it and allow it to be there, with you, like a shadow. For me it strangely presents a unique, opportunity in those moments of calm, to breathe and allow the possibility of tiny slithers of light to burst through. To help us to embrace our pain, in some small illuminating way.
My philosophy stems from the notion that creative expression is a powerful means to transform our lives, for ordinary simple moments to become sources of inspiration and mental comfort. To give us bolts of strength and moments of peace and joy. Overcoming and learning to stay in the moment, harnessing the power of the best, and understanding the worst, has become crucial for me.
You see, the dark is always partnered with light and we must accept that, even though it is terrifying and its not a quick fix but we can co-exist with loss.
My designs are not merely garments but expressions of healing we can encounter daily. There is no fix for me, but my hope is that you are able to engage with each piece as a celebration of life’s determination to overcome and put something beautiful in the world.

Encompassing the heritage behind all that threads into my designs, including myself, every element is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the beauty that exists in everyday experiences. They are creations from healing, whilst giving a home to grief. I grow around it.

Reminding you each day of the possibility of the light that shines within you, even if a tiny spark, especially in the darkest of times.
My Blog is there not to give advice, just to talk of my experiences, because it is very much part of my method and fundamental to who i am today.
Purpose is everything.
Aug 17th 2021 was a day forever marked with unfathomable tragedy for my family and I - a landscape of life since, forever changed. One of my beautiful sons, tragically lost his life. A life full of promise and adventure. There just aren't words adequate enough to describe the brutality of it. Ever. Those words, still feel alien to my psyche, my soul. However, wrapped in his love and kindness, his optimism, his infectious smile and intellect, his humour, his everything - the search for how to navigate life as his Mother and as me, became critical. It still is. Embracing the pain in the days that pass and finding a way to breathe. To adjust. To accept that impermanence is in every moment and to find the light.
